Gryphon Tea Room - Savannah, Ga. | ||
![]() Tea Room Entrance (126k) We waited for other picture-takers to
finish to snap this photo |
![]() Unique building (124k) The Gryphon Tea Room occupies the lower
floor of this structure on Bull street. This was restored by the fine
folks at the Savannah College of Art and Design like so many others
here. |
![]() Red velvet cake and tea (110k) No one could tell us what was in this
cake, but Patti said YUM. |
![]() Tea, scones and cake (131k) We were getting a bit tired after walking
a lot. A snack and a quick coffee/tea was just the thing. |
![]() Old Apothecary (126k) This is the area from which remedies and
elixers of an earlier time were dispensed so many years ago. |
![]() Herbs, ointments and a variety of medicinals were kept here (163k) The contents of these antique drawers
can still be read easily. |
